ESGR in the News


MINNEAPOLIS –  Staff Sgt. Laena Rodriguez, Minnesota Army National Guard is shown with her supervisor, Teresa Kolo, after the presentation an Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Patriot Award.

Rodriguez is an Army National Guard financial management technician in Arden Hills, and is employed by U.S. Bank. The award was given on recently during a staff meeting at the US Bank offices in recognition of her supervisor’s support of her service to the Minnesota National Guard.

In her nomination, Rodriguez wrote that her supervisor is supportive and understanding of her military service and frequently asks about her military career.

Rodriguez has been in the Minnesota Army National Guard for 12 years and was previously deployed in 2017. Also present was John Kingrey an ESGR Minnesota Committee member.

US Bank was a Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award honoree in 2013.
