COKATO, Minn. – U.S. Army Reserve Spc. Jonathan Ylitalo is presenting the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Patriot Award to his employment supervisors, Brett Raisanen, general manager and Dave Tuma, welding supervisor. Not present was Marty Johnson, assembly supervisor, who was also a recipient of the award.

The awards were presented recently at the Forward Technology facility in Cokato in recognition of Brett’s, Dave’s, and Marty’s  support of Ylitalo’s service to the U.S. Army.

Ylitalo was very appreciative of their support and assistance with his Army deployments and wanted to honor them. Ylitalo commented on how his supervisors were very helpful in allowing him time to prepare for his military deployments and scheduling him so that he could coordinate his employment with Forward Technology and his Army duties.

Also present at the award ceremony was Bob Adams, an ESGR Ombudsman/Minnesota Committee member.

ESGR is a program of the Department of Defense which seeks to foster a culture in which all employers support and value the employment and military service of members of the National Guard and Reserve in the United States.
