ESGR in the News


SAINT PAUL, Minn. –  An Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), Statement of Support was signed on Veterans Day 2021 by the leadership of M Health – Fairview.  At the ceremony, where members of the emergency services team as they prepare for daily life saving missions.

Mary Nease, M Health – Fairview Chief People Officer, re-enforced the commitment of the senior leadership.  She stated “We’re honored to make this pledge, illustrating our dedication and commitment to supporting the military service of our employees and future employees. This is one step in strengthening our culture. As a system, we’re at our best when we have a diverse workforce, which includes a strong presence of members from the military and veteran communities.  Guard and Reserve Service members, veterans and their families bring unique sets of skills and talents to our organization and patientcare – we’re honored to have them among our workforce.”

As a follow on, Therese Carroll, the Recruiting Specialist and leader of Veterans Allies & Advocates Employee Resource Group also stated, “Today, Fairview is signing the ESGR Statement of Support, a commitment from our system to support the military service of our employees.”

Thomas J. Simonet, Chair ESGR-MN represented the Minnesota ESGR committee as the official signing occurred.  He explained the mission of ESGR and the importance to visibly show to the guard and reserve workforce that leadership values their service.

M Health – Fairview is closely working with the Minnesota Beyond the Yellow Ribbon organization to be certified by the State as a BYR company.
