APPLE VALLEY, Minn. – Julian Velez, a soldier in the Minnesota National Guard was very proud in honoring his immediate supervisor, John Engdahl of Apple Valley Ford Lincoln, with the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Patriot Award.
Velez appreciated Engdahl's support in a period of transition for Julian. The presentation was facilitated by Senior Service Manager Scott Roberts who wanted to recognized all the service members working at Apple Valley Ford Lincoln. He expressed his gratitude of their service and the quality they bring to the organization. Mr. Roberts spoke also on John Engdal's dedication to those that serve. Julian Velez also wanted to recognize Scott Roberts and Dan Lacroix, along with Chris Gulbrandson, of the management team, for their support of him and Eric Ernst, who was another guard member who had just returned from deployment.
The award was presented Dec. 2 at the main office of Apple Valley Ford Lincoln along with a reception which included an Army theme decorated cake. Also present was Dr. Everett Doolittle, ESGR Ombudsman/Minnesota Committee member and about forty members of Apply Valley Ford Lincoln's service department.
