ESGR in the News

THIEF RIVER FALLS, Minn. – Minnesota ESGR presented the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Seven Seals Award to CEO David Doherty of Digi-Key Company.

The award was given on Oct. 21 at the Digi-Key office in Thief River Falls Minnesota in recognition of Doherty’s strong support of National Guard and Reserve service members. This award is presented by Minnesota ESGR volunteers to honor supportive employers like Doherty.

Due to COVID concerns and overnight travel restrictions, ESGR Minnesota has unable to present the ESGR Seven Seals Award to David Doherty in person. David has been a champion of hiring Guard and Reserve service members at his company which is located in the northern reach of the Great State of Minnesota.

As David held the Seven Seals Award outside Digi-Key plant in Thief River Falls, he stated “ On behalf of DK, we are honored and humbled to accept this award on behalf of our Guard and Reserve service members. Our contribution pales in comparison to the sacrifice of so many and we are proud to support the high number of service members from our area.”

ESGR is an agency of the Department of Defense which seeks to foster a culture in which all employers support and value the employment and military service of members of the National Guard and Reserve in the United States.
