SPOKANE, Wash. – For Reserve Component soldiers who straddle both the military world and civilian employment world, there is often a feeling that there is a need to conceal one’s military affiliation when applying for employment. However, employers who see such service as a benefit are not only following the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA), but also access a disciplined and skill workforce who display leadership, responsibility and professionalism.
