Fiscal Year 2021 Annual Review
In 2021, Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve continued to promote supportive work environments for our National Guard and Reserve Service members through over 2,500 military and employer outreach events.
The overwhelming successes shown throughout 2021 were a direct result of the tremendous efforts from our team of more than 3,000 volunteers, whose combined total of 135,373 hours equates to a $3.61 million return on investment. This, coupled with the positive resolution of 849 Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA) cases, resulted in a $3.23 million cost avoidance to the Federal government, for a total savings of $6.85 million. These results are a testament to our volunteers, supportive employers, ESGR staff, and the men and women who proudly serve in the National Guard and Reserve.
