PALMDALE, Calif. – Suzanne Harms was presented with a Patriot Award Feb. 24 by Scott Bennett, California Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve in recognition of extraordinary support of her employee serving in the Guard and Reserve.

Harms was nominated for being highly supportive of the United States Marine Corps Reserve by her Reserve Component employee, Sergeant Luis Valadez.

Valadez stated: “Suzanne Harms is the Operations Manager for the Palmdale GAIN program.  Since the beginning of my employment with the company, she has been accommodating, understanding and highly supportive of my reserve military duties.  After two years of being with the company when it comes to annual training dates the communication, submission and approval along with Human Resources have been fluid and without fault.  Under short notices of active operational support orders, she has been flexible to find someone to fill in while on leave.  Mrs. Harms shows great patriotism and recognition of all current military members and Veteran members.  It is with great pleasure to nominate Mrs. Harms for the Patriot Award.”

ESGR, a Department of Defense program, seeks to foster a culture in which all employers support and value the employment and military service of members of the National Guard and Reserve in the United States.
