University of Redlands supervisor honored by Department of Defense for patriotic support

REDLANDS, Calif. – Sabrina Wilhelm was presented with a Patriot Award Feb. 21 by Greg Peck, California Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve in recognition of extraordinary support of her employee serving in the Guard and Reserve.

Wilhelm was nominated for being highly supportive of the California Army National Guard by her Reserve Component employee, Pfc. Kirwood Morrow.

Morrow stated: “Ms. Sabrina Wilhelm has shown her support for the California Army National Guard by allowing me to proceed with training on HRF and various other missions even though it conflicted with my schooling.  She helped me arrange my schedule with my professors which ultimately allowed me to make up any missed work and in addition, allowed me to continue my education at the University of Redlands.  She is a great academic success advisor and truly puts in the additional work to make anything and everything work in regards to scheduling conflicts with the military.”

ESGR, a Department of Defense program, seeks to foster a culture in which all employers support and value the employment and military service of members of the National Guard and Reserve in the United States.
