SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – Pedro Gonzalez was presented with a Patriot Award Feb. 25 by Greg Peck, California Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve in recognition of extraordinary support of his employee serving in the Guard and Reserve.
Gonzalez was nominated for being highly supportive of the California Army National Guard by his Reserve Component employee, Spc. Ismael Sanchez.
Sanchez stated: “Mr. Gonzalez or “Pete” as I and my co-workers address him, is overall an excellent boss. Being an Air Force Veteran himself, he has proven to look after my wellbeing during work and during my times when the National Guard calls upon me. He highly recognizes my service with the Army National Guard and is very flexible in managing my job hours. Throughout the 1 year I have been employed under Pete, he has demonstrated great care of his worker’s well-being, their personal lives, work, school and provides us with many resources to help us achieve our goals.”
