WICHITA Kan. – Bombardier Learjet supervisor Bob Tibbets was honored with a Patriot Award March 10 for superior support of his employee, and member of the Air Force Reserve, Tech. Sgt. Bryan Mendenhall.

Mendenhall stated, “Bob is very supportive of the Reserve challenges, which come along with employing myself and other members of the guard/reserve. He is very respectful and willing to work with us on any last minute deployments or time needed, even with short notice.  He also helps by pointing us in the right direction in order to qualify for any differential pay the company offers.”

Tibbets received the Patriot Award from Kansas ESGR Area Chair, Becky Richardson, at an all-hands-on company meeting in Tibbet's area.

Immediately after presenting Tibbets with the Patriot Award, Richardson presented an Above and Beyond Award to Bombardier.  Accepting this award on behalf of the company was Tom Bisges, Bombardier Vice President of Product Development Engineering.
